Connect providers

Built-in default/* and fast/* models need no configuration. Use this page only when you want to bring your own upstream account or endpoint. In Connect → Upstream Providers, add a provider for each one you want your workspace to reach.

Provide:

  • a stable provider code, used in targets such as openai/gpt-5;
  • the provider base URL;
  • its protocol style, such as Chat Completions or Responses;
  • an upstream credential.

The platform supplies this credential when the deployed runtime calls the provider. Do not put provider secrets in model source, tool source, screenshots, or client applications.

Update a provider before deployment when a credential or endpoint changes. If you delete a provider, models that target its code stop working.
