Custom domains

Open the workspace Overview and choose Connect domain. Enter a hostname such as api.example.com. The dashboard creates the domain connection and displays the exact DNS records for it.

DNS steps

Section titled “DNS steps”
  1. Copy the displayed CNAME record into your DNS provider.
  2. Add the displayed ownership TXT record when the dashboard shows one.
  3. Wait for DNS propagation.
  4. Select Check status in the dashboard until the hostname and SSL status are active.

Do not substitute DNS values from another workspace or guide. Each custom domain connection supplies its own CNAME target and optional ownership proof. Remove the domain in the dashboard before reusing that hostname elsewhere.
